I am writing to formally report a disturbing and *****ulent incident that occurred at Engen Rivonia, located at 381 Rivonia Rd, Edenburg, Sandton. On the 2nd of September 2025, I was assisted by a petrol attendant named Malose, who pretended to pour petrol into my car, charged me R200, and then claimed the fuel had been dispensed. However, my fuel gauge did not move at all—in fact, the bars went down afterward, clearly indicating that no fuel was delivered. When I confronted him, he insisted I should “drive around and the bars will move,” which is completely unacceptable. I know my car well, and his explanation was clearly a lie. His attitude was rude and dismissive when I challenged him.

To make matters worse: There was no manager on duty, and I was told I would need to return the following day to resolve the issue. When the manager was eventually called, he said he couldn't take any action until the next day after investigating and checking the petrol pump. I left the station with no petrol and no resolution, and was effectively ****med of R200. This raises a serious concern: How many other customers have been deceived by this attendant? I strongly urge you to investigate Malose’s actions immediately and review CCTV footage from this evening.

I am demanding: A full refund of the R200. Immediate disciplinary action against the attendant involved. Clear communication on the outcome of the investigation. Implementation of proper managerial oversight, especially during evening shifts. This experience has not only caused financial loss but has seriously damaged my trust in the Engen brand.
