TIMOTHY

Until I recently moved out of the area I frequented the Engen on Blaauwberg Road, next to the police station and opposite Bayside several times a week. There is a gentleman there by the name of Timothy who works behind the counter. I have never in my life come across such a genuinely friendly employee with such superb customer service. He must be commended, acknowledged and rewarded for his efforts.<br> <br> I once hadn't been there in a couple of weeks and when he saw me he asked me where I'd been as he hadn't seen me for 3 weeks. <br> He'd ask me how my day was and when I asked him back he'd cheerfully say that its only just started (night time)<br> What amazes me the most is that he has so much to be miserable about and if I was him I'm sure I'd be. He had once been on leave to write an exam if I remember correctly. He's a qualified engineer (I cant remember if its civil or mechanical) with years of experience but is from a foreign African country and cannot get a job in his field here. Can you imagine? Being an experienced engineer with high earning potential and working as a petrol station cashier yet being so friendly and helpful.
