THREATENED WITH MY LIFE at ENGEN FUEL STATION - MALMESBURY, Voortrekker Street.

On 06 December 2019 at approx 07:05 I stopped at the engen fuel station. I usually refuel here but on this morning I wanted to quickly pop into the store for a packet of cigarettes. The parking bays were full so I decided to park at the fuel pump and quickly run into the store. The petrol attendant rudely shouted at me "REMOVE YOUR BAKKIE FROM HERE". I turned around and said that he will not address me in that manner and continued walking into the store. The security followed me in and along with the petrol attendant harassed me. I bought me cigarettes, walked back to the bakkie and as I wanted to drive off, I said to the fuel attendant that he is rude and I am going to report him to the manager, he responded and said that he is not afraid of the manager and that he will **** me as he is also not afraid of me.

I decided to rather calm down and drive off, because I was extremely angry at this point. My girlfriend contacted Koenie, the manager, and reported the matter and wanted to set up a meeting later today to discuss what had happened. Koenie responded by saying that Sapeka (the fuel attendant) was correct in calling for the bakkie to be removed and that he "does not believe his attendant will threaten a customer". My girlfriend was shocked at this response and realised that both management and staff are contributing to the appalling customer service at this engen garage. I do understand parking at a fuel pump is not acceptable, but escalating it to a life threatening situation is not on. We have seen a rise in road rage where one person ****s another as a result thereof, surely Engen should act shiftly in this regard because this could easily have turned into a SIGNIFICANT SITUATION if I decided to defend my life from such threats.
