Shibeen

I was travelling to Upington on the N14 and had to stop off for fuel in Olifantshoek. I decided to stop off at Engen (as we are all aware of Engen being the service station of choice in SA). All I got to say is OMG!!!

What a state that place is in, the people purchase alcohol at a filling station????(When was this made legal).... and consume it on the premises (in & around the pumps & parking). Drunk people begging & leaning on your vehicle and being persistent for money and cursing you if not helped. Then you gotta dodge trucks on the way out...utter ********!!

With all this partying and drinking going on, they start up flame \braai's"in close proximity to the fuel?? Seriously Engen do you want this place to explode? I am no safety officer"

Hello woody8112,

We at Engen are aware that the site operator (Dealer) has a liquor store next to his fuel station. As this land belongs to the Dealer and is not part of the fuel station there is very little that we can do about it however we will undertake to do a Health and Safety inspection on site and manage the outcome accordingly.

Regards,
