Shabby treatment by Engen manager

Today I had the misfortune to stop at engen in Oxford Road Rosebank to buy petrol.

The attendant was very helpful. I noticed that there was some bird **** on the roof of my car. It is not the attendants job to wash my car. I decided to remove the bird **** myself. At this point I was accosted by a person whom I didn't recognise as the manager of the service station. as he wore no name rahe nor uniform, but was just hanging around.

At first I thought he was a begger that often hangs around McDonald's next door to the service station. He demanded that I stop operating a car wash on the premises . I explained to him that I was removing the bird **** from the roof myself. I was in no way going to have a car wash in the limited time that it takes to fill up with some petrol.

The so-called Manager then denied me any water to remove the bird **** from the roof even though the attendant had successfully completed cleaning the windows.

It was a petty and unhelpful act. He claims that the site is inspected by Engen- which it sorely needs.

I feel that this poor level of service shows the effect of absent owners on service standards at Engen petrol stations and has to highlight inadequate training and dress code requirements allowed for Managers who are supposedly there to support customer service. .

I will never again purchase anything from any Engen branded outlet.
