Rancid Engen toilets

I don't often use the N1 to and from Polokwane, but have had cause to use that road twice recently. On both occasions, we stopped at the Engen Kranskop N1 South service centre. On each occasion the male and female ablutions stank of urine, even though appearing to be quite clean, though well worn. In fact on our second visit, Monday 26 February, the smell even reached the Wimpy Restaurant on the other end of the building. Possibly management are sensorially challenged. Like pilots can't be colour blind, maybe these guys should be tested too. Or is the this the new norm for highway service stops in South Africa? Both visits were early evening and not at the ends of busy weekends, though that should be no excuse anyway. Needless to say, any future trips will have stops planned differently.
