Pathetic Service from Engen

I would like to report horrible service received at Engen Pavilion Convenience Centre in Durban. On Sunday 10 May 2020 between 12:30pm to 13H10pm I was travelling and decided to pop in one of the best petrol stations I used to consider to be Engen before this incident. I walked in to you convenience centre and was looking for a quick bite since i was travelling. Due to lockdown the whole country is aware of the closure of takeaways/ hot foods served at petrol stations. But almost all petrol stations as well as Engen usually has warm pies available. I went to get a steak and kidney pie but realized that it was literally cold and not warm. I spoke to the security guard on duty and he felt it himself and confirmed that it was cold. I asked him is there anyway it can be warmed up for me since I saw a microwave on the premises in the kitchen area. He politely told me that I must ask the cashier when I pay for my pie. Before I went to the cashier to pay for my pie I realized that there were two people standing in front of me. I asked them if they were in the queue and they responded saying that no they are waiting for their pies I may proceed. I waited for the cashier and no one was at the cashier's desk . After a couple of minutes the cashier quickly have the two people their pies that she warmed up for them. Immediately when she was done I gave her my two pies and paid for them and once the transaction was complete, I politely asked her to warm my pies. She gave me a nasty look as if I was asking her out for a date or something and rudely told me that I must go warm it at home. I told her I am travelling and I am not going home. She then responded that there is nothing she can do and that I have to warm it up at home. I then emphasized in a polite way that I am not fighting with you as she started to raise her voice at me as if she was speaking to a uncivilized human being. Then a lady who was in tight jeans and dressed as if she is going to a night club eating KFC with her back against us facing the window, behind the counter, responded with a chicken bone in her hand saying,"don't you understand there is nothing we can do you have to warm it at home we are not allowed to sell hot foods." I immediately asked for my refund and it was given to me. When I left the staff and your so called manager on duty pointed at my car laughing. This is totally unacceptable, I guess only friends get their pies warmed up and are treated with respect. Or was I being judged because I was buying two pies and your manager on duty was eating KFC. Your staff needs to learn customer service and not to back chat or talk over a customer. The last time I checked I am an adult and not a child and do not need to be screamed at. And they way your staff carries themselves shows that they are not civil but hooligans and have no training at all. I hope this matter is dealt with accordingly and the cashier Lethiwe who was on duty at the time stipulated at the beginning of my review and manager is dealt with in a work appropriate manner and this never happens again.
