HARASSMENT!

On the 25th of November 2016, I stopped by the Engen Garage on Windermere Road to fill up petrol. I paid the transaction using my debit card and immediately received an SMS notification from my bank detailing that the transaction was successful. The petrol attendant Tobias then informed me that the speed point had had a paper jam and couldn't print the receipt. He then went to the office, I assume to print a receipt but was gone for far too long. After about 10 minutes without feedback, I drove home. The following day, Saturday, the attendant Tobias arrives at my place of residence demanding that i accompany him to the garage because the manager hasn't received the electronic payment. I showed him my confirmation, called my bank to double check and they confirmed the transaction had indeed gone through, but the merchant Engen had yet to bank the transaction. A process I feel I have nothing to do with. They continued to harass me, refusing to check with their bank before reporting the matter to the police and insisting I repay the money.

I am never using that branch ever again, the manager has ruined my weekend as well as my partner's who had to facilitate this discussion. I'm very disappointed in the handling of this matter
