Formal Complaint Regarding Fuel Transaction at Engen Modderfontein West

I stopped at Pump 6 and requested R200 worth of 95 Unleaded petrol from a petrol attendant named Collins. At the time, my vehicle's fuel gauge indicated that I had approximately 110 km of fuel range remaining, and I needed an emergency fuel top-up.

After being assisted, I went into the convenience store to purchase a snack. Upon returning to my vehicle, I noticed that my fuel gauge had not increased or changed at all. Before leaving the service station, I became concerned and decided to purchase an additional R100 worth of fuel from the pump next to Pump 6, where I was assisted by another attendant named Frans. However, even after this second fuel purchase, there was still no change in my fuel gauge reading.

I then drove to Dowerglen, hoping that the fuel gauge would update while driving. Unfortunately, the gauge still did not reflect any additional fuel and, to my surprise, the range subsequently dropped to 100 km.

Concerned that there may have been an issue with the initial transaction, I immediately returned to the petrol station and requested a receipt for my R200 cash payment. I was informed that my cash payment had apparently been combined with a credit card transaction. This explanation has raised serious concerns for me, as I paid cash and would expect my payment and fuel purchase to be accurately recorded and reflected.

I have attached a copy of the receipt provided to me for your reference.

I would appreciate a thorough investigation into the following:

Confirmation that the R200 cash payment was correctly processed. Verification that fuel was actually dispensed into my vehicle for the R200 transaction. An explanation as to why my cash payment does not appear to be reflected correctly on the receipt. Clarification regarding the apparent combination of my cash payment with a credit card transaction. Appropriate corrective action and feedback regarding this matter.

As a customer, I expect transparency and accurate handling of fuel transactions. I am disappointed by this experience and would appreciate a prompt response and resolution.

I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible.
