Engen Woodmead Service Station next to MacDonalds service sucks!

A petrol attendant at Engen Woodmead Service Station (next to MacDonalds) put petrol in my diesel tank which left me stranded by the roadside. Instead of taking responsibility for their action, the garage management claimed that their cameras cant show that I was at their premises. I had to prove my case by getting confirmation from the bank that withdrew money on the same date at the same time inside their convenience store.

You would think that solves the case. Instead, their insurance came with a ridiculous payment offer that is only a quarter of what I was quoted to fix the car. these people refuse to take the car and fix it, instead they want to pay me some change & send me out to find a fixer. when they know very well no one can fix the damages for what they are offering.

all I want is for them to fix the damages. I don't want anything else. I don't even need to touch a cent from the. I want them to take the car to whoever they got a quote from and bring it back fixed.

I have escalated to Engen Customer Service and I am waiting with abated breath to see if they will do anything about my claim number ********** .

is there an ombudsman for service stations?
