Engen Westgate Convenience Centre Parklands Cape Town, Mr Pillay

After driving into Westgate Convenience Centre, owned by Mr Pillay, I asked for the attendant to put in diesel into my Opel Corsa TDi. He subsequently put petrol in,thus damaging my car's engine . I took the car to be fixed, they asked for a cash payment and told me I could ask for a reimbur*****t from the garage. I drove right after my car was fixed, informing Mr Pillay about the whole incident and providing proof of said incident.

Mr Pillay offered me R3 000 (Three Thousand Rand), on a bill of just over R20 000. Saying that nobody will be profiting from this whole thing and that he thinks it's a con. He also informed me that he has his own mechanic that fixes cars for cheaper. After informing him that I will not be taking the amount he gave me, he offered me R10 000. I refused again and then he said he would put it through his insurance. He did so.

He paid me a portion of the amount (R17500),without his insurance excess, which came to about R2500. It has cost me around R500 to contact his insurance and broker, who had told me that they would inform me of his payment. They never did so and he informed me that he will not be paying his excess into my account.

All of this should have ended in Mid December 2017, yet I am sill stuck fitting the bill of somebody else's mistake.

He has also told me to not contact his broker or insurance company again, but I feel like if this matter is not resolved, they are just as much to blame and I shall be forced to name them in this whole debacle.
