Engen shows community the middle finger
Extremely disappointed in the Ladies Mile Engen in Southern Suburbs, Cape Town. A member of the public printed a poster for a cat that had been found and for whom we are searching the owner. The Service station allowed her to put up a poster and promptly removed it within 48hours. When I went today with a poster because there were none on display I was told that they had put up the original for 48hrs and had removed it. I asked the cashier to contact someone in authority. She called 'Hermien' who apparently is a supervisor and reports to 'Danie' and she said no new posted may be put up because the previous one had been displayed for 48hours. It costs Engen NOTHING, ZILCH, ZIP to simply put up the poster and yet they refused. Clearly Engen is not community-minded nor do they give a flying fig for the causes and concerns that their supporters hold. They effectively show the public the middle finger. 'Hermien' did not even bother to come meet with me to discuss. Her retort via the cashier was a resounding 'no'. I have put in tens of thousands of rands worth of fuel at this station and I will never ever support them again and I will start a movement on social media in support of a boycott because they are unfeeling, uncaring and downright rude.
