Engen Riverhorse Valley Manager Mr Mfeka lacks customer service towards black people
So during my lunch break I decided to go and fill up at Engen Riverhorse Valley, when the attendant at the garage tapped my card twice, disregarding my showing him my account debit sms and banking app, when I requested a refund I was told that there was an error in communication by the manager of the service station by the name Mr Mfeka, who said the money will return to my account automatically, when I voiced my concern that this is not how the process works and that it is supposed to be instant reversal if that is the case, he then suggested that if I have a problem with this I should lodge a grievance complaint with Engen, I then requested that he shows the two most recent records from Pump 6 that was used for my transaction, he said this was not possible as he hasn't run the day end report, he then went in the back office and brought back a report with him that only showed 3 transactions between 06:33 and 06:48, mind you my transaction was conducted at 14:38, when I pointed this out to him and the incompatible card number, he then suggested that it would not be possible for him to print 300 transactions, and was refusing to customise it using the time and pump number, I eventually gave in as he was refusing to budge from his stance, and I had run well over my break allocated time, I did not get my refund after having wasted an hour trying to get to the bottom of this, the Engen garage itself is decent but the people need to be trained to understand what customer service is, the money isn't significant as it was 150 *2 but the manner in which the customers that pay their salaries are treated is appalling. I hope action is taken accordingly. looking forward to hearing from you.
