Excellent service recovery after a serious fuel mix-up

I had a very stressful experience when unleaded petrol was accidentally put into my diesel bakkie at Engen Rally Motors, which left me stranded on the side of the road.

Naturally, I called the station extremely upset. However, the owner immediately reached out, took full responsibility, and handled the situation professionally from start to finish.

My vehicle was collected on a load bed and transported to a mechanic of my choice, all arranged and paid for by them. They also organized my transport to and from the mechanic, settled the repair bill in full, and even added extra diesel to my vehicle afterwards as a goodwill gesture.

What started as a very frustrating and angry morning turned into a positive experience thanks to how responsibly and efficiently the situation was handled. While I still lost some income in my own line of work due to the downtime, I genuinely appreciate the accountability and effort shown to make things right.

Mistakes can happen, but good customer service is defined by how they are resolved and in this case, Engen Rally Motors stepped up.
