Engen Garage next to Spar on Panorama Road

On Tuesday my partner poured R200 in my local engen garage on panorama street rooihuiskraal next to the spar center. The car had 34km on the range - after pouring the R200 the range kept on going down as if there was not even a drop of gas poured - not that I expected a half tank - as per the garage owners accusation. Upon realisation that the range is rather going down - she made a U-turn immediately at less than a km from the garage and went to ask if they did indeed pour the gas.

She was assured that it was poured but rather the car might be problematic. She called me and I told her lets meet at the garage - since this is the second time the same thing is happening - as it once happened to me from the same garage.

We met at the garage - the Assistant Supervisor and the petrol attendant who poured the gas gave the same explanation. I asked if I was the only one to whom this had happened and I was told I am not. This was concerning to me - as this happened for the second time to me. I was however asked to come back later and meet the garage manager - which I later came to realise he was the owner.

At first he pretended to be helpful by showing me the footage - upon further questioning he got irritated and started shouting at me. We ended up exchanging unpleasantry words - including how reach he is and all. That is not the issue here - I however am concerned about the ******** that happens at that garage.

Today I poured R300 at a different garage and the range was at 20km - the range went up to 304km. This just shows there is something willfully or unwilfully happening at that garage.

However we as the public will always suffer the fate - because the owner is not willing to cooperate and deal with the issue - as instead I was told I want free money and that R200 is insignificant to him.

I left the garage with no explanation and just a good exchange of unpleasantries.
