Engen City Deep is trash
I went to Engen City deep to fill my petrol. When I got there my petrol was 60km and two bars, I wanted to add on. I handed the petrol attendant R200 cash and opened the tank for him to pour petrol, then went out of the car to the convenience store to get water, ice cream and energy drink.
I came back and started my car and left… upon driving my car for about 5 minutes I realised that the kilometres are still on 60km and two bars. I drive a small car which is Hyundai Atos. With R200 petrol there’s no way that my tank wouldn’t increase. I turn back to the garage immediately upon my realisation which was a few minutes later. I went to address the matter to the cashier she couldn’t help, I then requested the manager and then relayed to her what happened.
She then went on to tell that surely my car has a problem. I then told her there’s absolutely no way cause my car was not empty. We had an altercation she couldn’t help then I asked her to escalate the matter since she couldn’t come with a solution. She then told me to come back the next day. I refused because the incident happened less than 20 minutes ago, so resolving it the next day wouldn’t help. I then asked her to provide me with her name and surname so I escalate the matter she refused to and didn’t even have a name tag, I asked others I was told she is Zanele they didn’t want to tell me her surname.Of which I can prove cause I took her a video. I then left the store with my issue not resolved and my tank not filled. I drove to Engen Parktown to pour R150 to prove that my car was never the problem. I my car went up with 2 bars more with the R150, which proves my car has no problem. I’ll attach the pictures.
Pictures 1- I took it when I left Engen city deep Picture 2- the amount I paid at Engen Parktown Picture 3- the bars after pouring R150 at Parktown.
If they already poured petrol when I added petrol at another petrol station it would have been at-least half tank or more, because my half tank it’s R350.
I wish to be assisted to get my money or my petrol. It might be a very small money but it’s my money.
This matter has disheartened me because I am such a loyal customer to Engen garage. I pour my petrol at Engen Skycity, even staff there knows me both the petrol attendants and cashiers in the convenience store. I’ve never had problems with Engen but after this incidence I’ve definitely lost my trust in Engen. And they have definitely lost a customer in me.
