Engen Athlone, Northway. ******** filled my vehicle with AIR not petrol

am most displeased with the service I received at Engen Athlone located at 17A Northway, Durban North

On the afternoon of 31/01/2023, at approximately 17:28 I went to this garage to fill my car with R150 worth of fuel. I got to the garage and I asked the attendant to fill my vehicle with the amount, his name was Blessing (I didn't get his Surname as nobody even the manager didn't want to give me his surname). He serviced me. When I got to the bowser there was a R50 amount from the previous vehicle.

Blessing loaded the petrol, I didn't pay any attention as he was filling up as i was busy chatting with my brother who was in the car. When he was done, I paid and I started the car. To my dismay, nothing had moved on my gage and the petrol light that was initially on was still lit. It still had a dash on the "range". I immediately notified him of this as it has never happened before. I have been driving the vehicle since January 2022, and I know exactly how much each amount of petrol gives me approximately.

He called two other guys from the garage presumably managers told him about this and they asked me to drive the vehicle around the garage to see if the fuel range picks up, still nothing. I went back to them and they loaded another R50 on my vehicle, by this time R200 was loaded but still no change to the range, just no km's and light still ignited. I got annoyed as I have had a vehicle for the longest time and I know when I am being fooled. They told me they couldn't help me as the slip proves fuel was put in my vehicle, but there was no fuel in the vehicle. On my vehicle R200 gets me approximately 140km's as it is a 40 litter vehicle. The car is a 2022 Nissan Magnite and there is absolutely nothing wrong with the system as I had fueled up just the day before from another petrol station with no problems.

The garage owner Udayin Moodley was also called to hear me out BUT he was also of no use as he kept on saying the fuel was loaded in my car But the gage said NO. I notified them that I know exactly what happens at filling stations and how the pumps are rigged but he quickly brushed me off and told me he cannot help me with anything whatsoever.

I left the garage with disbelief as something of this sort has never happened before and nobody now wanted to entertain me. The attendant was now out of site.

When I told the garage to provide proof that the fuel entered my car they said its the slip but we are all aware that some garages do rig the system, the bowser counts yet only air is being pumped out.

I took photos of my petrol gage as proof that no fuel entered the vehicle before leaving the garage. Driving home the range didn't change still no km's. I realized that I was ****med, my money was taken yet I didn't receive any fuel. I am most disappointed in Engen. Some service stations are a complete ******* and I would never ever use them again.

Please investigate as I might not be the only person being ******.
