Customers not getting what you request

I fill up at Engen Connock Motors in Berea East London on a regular basis as it is just down the road from my place of employment. However on 21 April 2023 I was met with a terrible situation brought about by this service station that has caused me great discomfort.

I refuelled with diesel, drove home and when driving to take my kids to school I noticed my car was very sluggish, was smoking uncontrollably from the exhaust and definitely had no powerI thought perhaps some dirt had got in and went to work. The afternoon I realised it must’ve been the fuel, contacted the garage spoke to the office assistant who told me to have it checked at my expense by a service station as their records show that my car was filled with diesel.

When the contents of my fuel tank was sampled by a technician there was definitely not diesel in my fuel tank as I had suspected. The service station was closed, it looks as though they are opening again as it looks like it was a revamp. Emails to Engen customer proved futile.

Where and how does a customer trust what is in your branded service stations tanks in the future?
