Complaint: Engen York Street, George

A filled up my car by the petrol station and it started overflowing half way to Oudtshoorn. I lost litres of petrol along the way and even took a video half way through. When I reported it to the manager he couldn't give me any answers to my questions and repeatedly said he doesnt know or he cant explain it. He straight said that they are not taking any accountability, when asked to be refunded for the petrol lost. I was instead told to go and have my car checked at Volkwagen, maybe its my petrol processor that is faulty.

Firstly, I have always used engen and have never had a problem like this before. Infact, Engen is my favorite. But I must say the service and feedback I got, about a mistake one of the petrol attendants made, is pathetic. Secondly, none of them at engen is a qualified mechanic that specializes in volkwagen cars for him to say there is something wrong with my car. I have filled up my car various times before and this is the first time thus has ever happend and there is definitely nothing wrong with my car. A few days after I went to another petrol station also Engen I might add and I told them about everything that happend. After speaking to him, i learned about an airlock button that volkswagen cars have that can be pressed in to make it possible for the car to take more petrol. I have never heard of this prior to the incident and definitely didn't give anybody permission to press it in. To my knowledge the machine automatically stops or slows down after they hear a click. Guys, one thing I must tell you the lack of knowledge makes it possible for people to take advantage of you. Please sharpen your skills regarding your car, especially us women.

I even send an email to the Engen help desk on the 25th of March 25 regarding the incident but got no reply. I am really disappointed in Engen York Street and the way my situation was handled.
