Cancel Engen Hayfields

On Friday the 3rd of May

I went to the Engen in Hayfields(Pietermaritzburg) To fill some diesel, however due the negligence of their staff they poured 10 litres petrol in. They than further advised me to mix the petrol with another 10 litres of diesel. One of the attendants was of the opinion that the 10 litres of petrol will clean my engine from the inside lol resulting in my car being a bit faster lol.

I drove off based on this information I got from them. Only to find out that my car is now giving me issues. I than proceeded to call the manager(nhlanhla nkambule) and the owner (Shawn Reddy) to asked what’s their procedure when it comes to contamination(mixing petrol and diesel) to my surprise it was completely contrary to what his staff did on that Friday.

Mr Reddy is persistent that Engen has no responsibility what so ever by the negligent behaviour or act done by his staff whilst they were on duty. I’ve tried numerous times to reason with him. This is what it has come too.
