Yet another bad review for EMS South Africa

I had ordered an item to be delivered from Japan in July. Now, a month later, the item is still "on route" . They had advertised the shipping to take 3-4 days, but by now, it has been well over 30 days. When I asked why it was so late, they told me it was because they had too many items and couldn't get to mine to even process it on their system.

I don't know how EMS hire their staff or how many they hire, but seriously? That's the excuse? They have so many items to deliver that they cannot even process an item from a month ago?

And then they have to gall to tell me to just keep waiting while giving me empty apologies. I can't even get an estimate time of when my package can get processed, let alone delivered.

But you might be thinking that it's my fault in the first place for daring to trust EMS South Africa at all, that we should come to expect such dismissal attitudes and pathetic work ethic and it's my fault for thinking EMS would be different when there's so many **** reviews for it. And I would agree if you if it weren't for my reason for choosing EMS.

The package I ordered from Japan had to be delivered to a warehouse in Japan since the company I ordered from didn't ship outside of Japan. The company I used as a proxy to delivery my package to me was Buyee. Now Buyee buys products in Japan for me and delivers it to me here in South Africa. And on their website, they had recommended to use EMS as it was their trusted method of deliver.

So, me being misguided by false faith in a supposedly trusted delivery company, I chose EMS. At first, it started alright because EMS Japan managed to get my product AND delivered it past their borders within 2 days. All this while the nation was suffering from a hurricane and torrential rain on the level of a national disaster that crippled transport, and they still manage to weather through it (they had explicitly told me that the weather was seriously affecting them). Yet EMS here can't even god damn process my package after a month has passed. What's happening at the JIMC? Are they being held at gunpoint and they just **** themselves and can't get to my package since they're drowning in their own ****?

When I addressed this issue with Buyee, they told me that they couldn't help me. They had no control over what happens outside their country. I had asked for a refund, but that will take months of investigation. When I ask them to at least make a note that EMS South Africa should not be trusted to make deliveries, they only told me they'd keep it in mind. They have done nothing about that misleading suggestion.

I originally didn't have any issue with Buyee, they were helpful and professional. But when I started bringing up my issue, all they did was asked me to understand their position multiple times. Yes I understand your situation, but can you ****ing understand mine? How I was misguided into choosing a **** delivery service because you foolishly thought that EMS's service was at an international standard?

Over a month of waiting, and all I get is something along the lines of "we haven't processed your item" or "please understand" . I asked for compensation in some form, whether that is a refund so I can get another courier service who knows how to do their ****ing job or even just a message on Buyee saying that EMS South Africa is not to be trusted, but again, I was just told to "understand their position" and nothing can be done.

But fine. Let's help EMS. We can help by never using their services again so that they won't have so many items to go through. Because even though there's so many bad reviews about them, they still somehow manage to get enough idiots like me who didn't check the bad reviews beforehand who use their services.
