Worst service delivery

Today I logged a call early in the morning before 10:00 am at Kwa- Thema customer care centre to report my trapped electricity. I was told that they are not working until the 07 Jan 24, of which is ridiculous and very undermining. To my understanding essential workers work everyday and there is always a standby for emergencies. Around 10:00am I went straight to their offices to login my case again. They gave me a reference number. Four hours later two ladies came they asked for proof that I do buy electricity and I gave them, they were rude. They went to the power box but failed to open it, they then called someone and still that person also failed to open the power box.

Without any update to why they are failing to open what I believe they are trained to be able to open because I believe that for each job there is certain requirements and for an individual to get that job you must meet those requirements, so that you can get the job done.

There was no communication, they all just drove in the Municipality cars and disappeared. To my surprise I got a message update that my case is now closed and resolved. But how? I still don’t have power in my house and no one explained to me why nothing was done.

I have a 3 weeks old baby and there is people that our government has employed to render services to us but the same people don’t care about us and rendering the service. But every single month they get paid and even get standby allowances. At this point I am deprived my right to have access to electricity as a South African citizen.

What is it that needs to be done for municipal services workers to do what they are getting paid for? Because all they do is drive around with the cars and be very rude to us without rendering any service.
