When no one seems to care

On the 15th July 2016 a main water pipe burst opposite our house. The municipality sent workers out to attend to the problem and the water was restored that evening. However, in order to fix and replace the faulty pipes, they removed 3 trees that's probably older than what i am....they broke the neighbours driveway paving and dug up a pile of sand. Instead of cleaning after themselves...like any normal human being would do, they decided to just throw all the trees on my front lawn, left the hole partially open with the sand still on a heap and the driveway paving broken cement pieces just like that. After spending hours and hours and lots of airtime trying to contact Ekurhuleni...no one's taking responsibility and either ignores you or refers you to someone else. It's almost a month now and no one cares to attend to my online queries, calls, emails etc. A service we as citizens should not be begging for.

I am utterly shocked and disgusted at how this matter was dealt with...or the lack thereof.

Wow! Amazing how quick one gets a response when posting on Hello Peter.

Received a call from someone at Ekurhuleni on Thursday 12th Aug 2016. I even received confirmation of my concerns lodged with reference numbers sent to me.

Sadly, nothing happened afterwards...

Still waiting for the matters to be resolved.
