RAW SEWERAGE : NO ASSISTANCE

We reported a blocked sewerage pipe to Ekurhuleni Municipality on on our property on Tuesday 5 December. We reported another ticket to Ekurhuleni Municipality on Monday 11 December. We are now on the evening of 14th December and STILL not resolved.

We have RAW SEWERAGE pouring into our garden. It is now ankle deep. It erupted causing a ces****l of toilet paper, poo and other waste, literally FLOODING our garden. None of this waste is ours! It comes from a blockage elsewhere as confirmed by a plumber I called. Even Roto Rooter could not help as this is a MUNICIPALITY problem.

The stench is UNBEARABLE, the FLIES are everywhere, the health risks of raw sewage saturating the ground are a major concern. I have recently been released from the hospital where I struggled with massive infections. I cannot risk being reinfected by living immersed in sewerage.

I have called them in excess of 20 times, begging them to come. No one seems to care. They keep saying they are escalating it but nothing happens.

Living in this filth is revolting. We pay rates and sewerage etc but there is NO SERVICE or accountability when something like this.
