Public Liability Claim

I would like to share my horrible experience with the Ekurhuleni Municipality's conduct in respond to a claim for the damages caused to my appliances. Basically my appliances were damaged due to a low voltage problem and fault in the meter box where a live wire was in actual fact not connected at all. Not only are they not doing their jobs and covering up for it, but they are in actually placing peoples lives in danger.To top it all they have rejected my claim based on the Acting Senior Engineer, DE Ramovha's three sentence report stating that"the join might have failed due to ageing" Really who is responsible for maintaining the councils equipment. Wear and tear or not the fact remains that my equipment was damaged and now they are not taking responsibility for their lack of competence and gross negligence. This cannot be accepted at all.
