PATHETIC SERVICE DELIVERY
Re: Mayor of Ekhurleni, Sivuyile Ngodwana and HOD of Energy, Tshillizdi Tenga.
ANC AND DA POLITICAL ISSUES AFFECTING COMMUNITY IN MALVERN EAST AREA
Good day
I am writing this letter to you in the hope of getting our power restored. I am a single mother, barely making ends meet every month and now all my food in the freezer and fridge have been spoiled and had to thrown away. Who replaces that??? No one
On Wednesday, 26th July 2023 my area Ward 36 and 92 were scheduled for loadshedding at 10pm which we were switched off on time.
Ever since, we have no power no feedback from the Mayor or HOD. Not even our ward councilors have answers.
The Councilor ward Wendy and Kade informed us that they were told that the technicians were on site on Thursday, yet when I went to the substation they claimed to be at, there was no sight of any technician.
The Mayor and HOD has been ignoring the community, the ward councilors calls and messages even my own.
The street affected in Malvern East are the following: - Clift road - Home road - McApline road - Senator road - Geldenhuis road
What bothers me is that the robot on home road is working perfectly fine and the school directly opposite me, Wychwood Primary has lights.
The last communication received from our ward councillor was that the mini substation on Mullins road has been vandalized. How??? The street light on the corner of Mullins road is on.
Where is the work ethic, compassion, service delivery from our so called Mayor and HOD? Is it because we in Malvern East do not have the monies to bribe our way to getting this issue resolved.
I do not stay far from Bedfordview, the community there has never had this issue. Technicians go out and work overtime to ensure Bedfordview area always has power (Again this makes one think..................Money talks ).
Please can you assist me with escalating this to the correct channel that will actually assist in having power restored to us.
