Leaking water meter

<p>I live in Reiger Park, Boksburg on the East Rand. A few years ago the government decided to replace all the water main pipes in the area, and since then we have been having leaks regularly. I reported my water leak on Friday, 13 May 2016, and on Monday, 16 May 2016 I went to the Ekuruhleni Municipality where I was given a "magic" reference number( ********** ). This number you have to supply when making enquiries. I have been calling their call centre(***) almost every day only to be told that they have handed my job card to the technicians and I just have to wait till they come!!! Meanwhile, my water meter is running, and my account is escalating for which I will be held responsible! It happened to my cousin who is a pensioner, and she was billed with R1400 for running water caused by their incompetence. Every day I see billboards and adverti*****ts begging us not to waste water, but.....go figure Do they not have the manpower, or do the manpower not know how to do the job? I WILL NOT pay for this wastage and if there is a lawyer out there who would take my case, I would highly appreciate it as I am unemployed. I hope this message gets out there.</p>
