Inept Service & Communication

I don't know where else to vent my feelings of the ineptitude of a government office. I have been trying for 4 weeks to determine if my renewed drivers licence is available for collection at the Edenvale municipal drivers licence centre. I app**** in the first week of September and it should have been received there. As I don't want to make a 120km drive there in back only to be told it hasn't been received yet. The website numbers 011 999 **** are never answered. A general municipal number is answered but couldn't help at all. I went to the Edenvale centre but as I didn't have my ID book I was told not to bother waiting in line. I was given an SMS number to send my ID number to which would advise if the licence was there. I sent the SMS at 10:00 today, 27 Nov. but by 18:00 nothing had been received.
