INCOMPETENCE & ********ITY at Ekurhuleni Municipality

Our power has been cut off for the past 2 weeks. In 2 months, we were forced to pay R130,757.26. They are claiming that we owe them more! Everyday, there is a new amount that we owe. In ONE MONTH, the city of Ekurhuleni, increased the valuation of our property from R3,100,000 to R5,900,000!!!!

Standard and ABSA bank's recent valuation of the property both came in at R3,895,000.

The higher the valuation, the higher our electricity, sewage and water costs. We absolutely did NOT owe the amount they have claimed but we paid it in order to keep the lights on and to ensure the caretaker's pacemaker is able to be charged.

This is absolute travesty of justice, Ekurhuleni Municipality are committing CRIMES against its citizens!!!!!! BEWARE OF THE EKURHULENI MUNICIPALITY
