Last week, in one of our residential streets, municipality water meter got damaged and a huge water leakage/wastage resulted. Ward 74, ever ready and dedicated councillor, Mr Thulani Simelani, expeditiously got matter reported.Matters reported normally receive a 48 hr00 turnaround time. Within hours of this having been reported, team from municipality was there, digging and repairing.Minimal disruption of services was experienced.Before residents retired for the night,water was flowing again.Mr Thulani Simelane, is that kind of man, he never goes home to sleep until residents problems are resolved, even if it calls for him to stay the whole night on site of problem. If it is not fixed, there is no sleeping. The municipality is lucky to have a man of his dedication and heart to serve the people. The team that responded to the Downey street, burst pipe, thank you for your quick response. excellent work done to minimise water wastage and service disruption.
