Excellent Service of Mr Thulane Simelane, is humbling.

Yesterday, at about 14hr55, our street, had a major water pipe burst, municipality pavement side. Two houses close to the leak the yards thereof were flooded.Tried to contact municipality help desk to report issue,but line was not available. I finally resorted to the ward 74 councillor , Mr Thulane Simelane, for assistance. Fortunately, he was available.Thulane , assured me, matter will be reported.Within a few minutes, an sms came through with a reference number.Call had been logged for team to come out and check problem.We panicked, when time passed without any sign of water department team coming. Had to keep on sending messages to Thulane of what was happening.The fear was , the flooding into our yards was getting worse at time went by.Thulane, returned to me telephonically,saying water department team is busy somewhere, but would attend to our side as soon as they finish what they were doing. Great, relief, it was at about 19hr50, when the excavator lights shone at hour gate.The water deparment team was here. Work began.Broken pipe replaced. Through out , the time Thulane, was phoning and checking how the progress was. Even after, the guys had left the site, he came to check if all is well. He was the last man to leave at about 22hr27. That is the dedication of the man to the population that he serves.Thanks Mr Thulane Simelane.you serve with excellence sir in a humble an unassuming manner.
