The municipality needs to take an example from the hospital - there is no parking for disabled people close to the hospital where vaccinations are being undertaken. SAPS guard at the gate mentioned vehicles cannot enter the grounds for such cases. We had to park a long distance away pushing the wheelchair and crossing streets. The street is narrow and one had to navigate between on-coming and rear traffic. The pavement could not be used as trees were being pruned and all over the cut branches are blocking the pavement waiting to be removed. One would have expected pruning in this street could have been done before or after the initial inocculations when so many patients are expected. There were even people with walkers battling along to get to the hospital. Germiston municipality has no consideration for its citizens.
