Ekurhuleni does not care about people's health!

<p>This is I think the third time I am complaining about the same issue. As I am writing this I have a private plumber on site who can do nothing because the municipality's drain is blocked. We have a small block of flats at 20 Lanark Road in Germiston. The outside drains get blocked which causes the municipal drain on the property to overflow. One of our tenants had to take her son to hospital as a result of gastroenteritus caused by the raw sewage pool in the property.</p> <p> </p> <p>This overflow happens on a weekly basis and I have had the Health Department on site but the same thing keeps happening. I would love for the person in charge of the Sanitation Department to contact me so he can inspect the site and find a solution.</p> <p> </p> <p>This is an unacceptable situation and the Ekurhuleni Municipality does not care about the people living in this area.</p>
