DISRESPECTFUL MUNICIPAL WORKERS

Your team came out to my neighborhood to fix and electricity issue at number 15 Longmere street just before 7pm. We came out to see what was happening as we saw flashing lights by our gate. As we walked outside the gate we noticed that one of their cars, number plate HY 16 XZ GP, was parked on out very well maintained lawn and the other number plate BW 17 KH GP just off the pavement! we very politely asked whose car the one on our lawn belonged to and we got nothing but stares. We asked again whose car that belonged to amd again we got no replies from the men who just stared at us. We then asked them to remove the car off the lawn as we put in a lot of time and money onto maintaining the lawn and furthermore no permission was asked from us to park on it like that. One of the men then started making micro aggressive remarks saying that “when black people start making a little money then they think they are better”. He also said “plus u can see they iust made it, they probably just moved in recently now they think they are better”. This was really angering to hear and highly disrespectful! We were two women being intimidated by a bunch of men!!! Once of the men further said that we will have an issue one day and we will see what will happen which we did not take kind to at all. He then asked his colleague to check the box to see if we have any “problems” which to me sounded like they are going to create one which made me very u comfortable and frustrated. We understand that they were doing their job but i think that municipal workers should not feel entitled to doing as they please on peoples property when they do work and if something is getting in the way or something must be removed they should inform the residents just as a sign of courtesy!

I am very disappointed, angry and disappointed at the unprofessionalism and micro aggression displayed by your team and would appreciate an apology from them as they were highly disrespectful! Needless to say they ignored us and did not remove the car off our lawn as requested
