Disappointing service delivery

I hereby write with regards to the failure of the Ekhuruleni Germiston electricity department municicpality's service delivery. My home address is 8 Matopo street, Rondebult Germiston. We reported that our recharge box has been faulty and will not take the meter number since 3rd October 2018 and I went to the office that then told me that they would send a technician to asses. That did not happen. I then called the call centre to follow up and was told that the call centre and main office are not linked and can not speak for one another. The technicians apparently came here and found no one n they turned. Yet my garage door was open.

Finally I was told to buy a new box, yet why I must pay for a box that is faulty and not as a result of our use. Anyway if paid for the box on friday 12th October and after paying was told that all boxes are out of stock and the turn around time is 3months on a new one, so I need to call them to recharge my electricity when I suspect it's running low. As it stands I logged a call 48hours ago till today mo assistance.

Call centre agents are honestly just not doing there jobs because you will hold the line only to be told they will escalate just to get you off the line.

Today 16th October I called more than 10times and each agent tells me they will escalate. What is the definition of escalation in there world because clearly it's just a fancy way of saying thanks for wasting your airtime, but I don't really care.

Only now at 20:48 did they actually escalate my call as they have been stating and all other calls have not been noted since yesterday 15th October at 9am.

So tell us dear ekhurhuleni electricity department, do we need to be rude and loud on telephones and demand supervisors in order to get proper customer service. Honestly people who don't even bother to buy electricity and just riot every time they have issues get better service than us tax paying and municipality service citizens.
