CONTINOUS DISCONNECTIONS

On the 30th of September 2015 our electricity was disconnected and we paid an amount of R1600.00 which was required to reconnect by the 2nd of October, however, getting recollected became a hassle as we had to pay visits to the municipality offices to plead with them to reconnect us and we were told that our papers were not given to the guys who reconnect and later that afternoon we were reconnected. We had received a disconnection without a prior final notice nor a statement of account. It has not been three weeks since this has occurred and we have already received another disconnection notice and when we enquired with the department, we were only told that we need to pay the amount despite the query that we have.We should have been notified of this beforehand and also, this should not have happened within such a short period. We have also requested to see the meter readings as we know that we do not consume that much electricity, we were also denied this right as we needed to see what it is that we are actually being billed and why the bill has been on a constant high. These queries have exhausted a lot of resources and time spend going back and forth with the municipality
