ELIXI HEALTH INSURANCE IS A ****

Elixi Health has been my mother's Medical Insurance service provider for a few years to date. Fortunately, my mother has never needed major medical treatment, but even though that is the case, Elixi have always failed to pay for any day-to-day medical charges. They always have some sort of excuse. I've managed to live with that, being the paying entity, but the most recent event, is when I realized that Elixi is simply a ****. For the first time in years, the patient, my mother, was rushed to hospital, for urgent treatment. She ended up in a ward for 4 days. Elixi now refuses to pay a cent towards any of her medical bills, because according to them, we did not request pre-authorization. It was an emergency for crying out loud. How can one request pre-authorization for an emergency medical event. The truth is, they had no intention of paying, and sadly, anyone with Elixi only finds out when it's too late. BOTTOM LINE, ELIXI IS A ****, AND CANNOT PROVIDE THE SERVICES THEY OFFER. PS: The patient is on the 2nd highest level of service Elixi provide, but even that isn't good enough.
