Your website will be blocked!
A week ago, our website was blocked by EliteHost with a message that we used up all our space. This was not true as we only used 3Gb of the 10Gb we are paying for. It was fixed with and an e-mail was sent to us that they are not sure what happened and apologized. Since then our website is being blocked almost all the time with the excuse that search engines are using up all the resources. We have done everything we can from our side to try and sort it out, but this morning our website is down again - almost every day for a week now. This didn't happen for months now after we were forced to upgrade to a higher package. It started with the space problem which was not so. This is our hosting company who is there to help us manage our hosting. Their solution is to block bots from accessing the website or again upgrade to a higher package. What is the use of a website if one must block search engin robots? Without SEO the website means nothing. They have no telephone support and everything must be done via e-mail. In the meantime our website is down again and we are losing possible sales and orders!

Thank you for providing us the opportunity to resolve this matter. We did experience server related issues last week.We advised that these were corrected and that we were investigating the storage usage issue that occurred on the server.
Our support department has worked with you on numerous occasions to resolve the ongoing resource usage issues on your website. Your hosting package was upgraded to the Business package back in February due to CPU/MEM resource usage. A detailed explanation was sent regarding resource usage factors as it varies per website.
We informed you that your website was receiving a lot of requests from Baidu and made recommendations to check crawl rates for Google/Bing as we are seeing bot requests every few seconds. We also made recommendations to optimise the website to use less resources to avoid an upgrade. These included implementing database caching and to configure the website correctly for use with CloudFlare.
Apologies for all the inconvenience and frustration that this has caused. We ask you to please work with us via the ticket you have open so that we can assist you with implementing these optimisations.
