Unhappy
Good day,
Our problem with the above mentioned car is not fixed, the car is still leaking L, June 2017 I brought the car in for the roof to be replaced, upon collecting the car after the job was completed I questioned the gap between the roof and the tailgate and we were reassured and given guarantee that everything.
On the 24th March 2018 we got a shock our life when there was terrible smell inside the car, upon investigating further we noticed that the boot, the back passenger seats, the floor at the back on both sides and the floor on the front passenger side everything was dripping wet and there are water marks on the inside lining of the roof. Immediately the next Monday we called and she spoke to Gerrie who advised that we bring the car for assessment, on Tuesday the 27th we brought the car and Gerrie inspected and advised that I bring in the car the following day for further assessment, the following morning we did as requested on the morning of the 28th March we brought the car in, keeping in mind that every time we drive to Eldan Auto Body (Pretoria West) from Rosslyn Pretoria North we get stuck in traffic for over an hour, I am pregnant i can’t take that kind of traffic anymore. All our Easter plans had to be cancelled as the process moved from assessing the car to fixing/repairing the car, please note that this is our only car we use every day to take children to school and doing other family run around. i collected the car yesterday 03rd April 2018 and was once again reassured that the problem is identified and fixed. Yesterday there was light rainfall in and around Pretoria, when i arrived my husband inspected the car and to my surprise there was so much water in the boot around the spare wheel compartment (see the attached picture).
This is becoming way too much stressful for a person in my condition (pregnant) and to the whole family, we can’t afford not have a car readily available for my doctor’s visits, for dropping and collecting kids and for any other emergency that might arise . How many times must I bring back the car, how many times must i incur petrol costs of being stuck on traffic bringing back a car that you can’t fix? Can I report back to the insurance that you are failing to fix the car? What will be the condition on the fabric material inside the car with all this water being trapped on the material? What happens to the value of the car?
Eldan Auto Body please advise how do we move forward?, we are in position where we cannot be without a car, we need our car to be fixed properly and permanently, you guys had ample time to fix this car, but clearly you are failing, is it possible for you guys to sort this out with our insurance because they paid and we also paid excess for the car to be fixed.
Hoping to get a response .
