**⚠️ WARNING: Think twice before trusting your car to Eldan Auto Body, Pretoria West.** In 2019, I entrusted my **2015 Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG** — a vehicle I purchased for **R2,500,000** — to **Life Wise CC t/a Eldan Auto Body, 141 Lloyd Street, Pretoria West Industrial** for repairs. What followed was one of the most shocking experiences of my life. **Here is what happened — and every word of this is verifiable in court:** 📅 **The vehicle was ********ly detained on the premises.** Instead of completing the repairs, the garage refused to return my car and attempted to assert a lien over it — holding it hostage while demanding payment of R600'00.00 for storage. They never invoiced or told the cost that it will be per month R10'000.00 📅 **The car was left OUTSIDE. Unprotected. For an extended period.** A luxury AMG with a V12 biturbo engine, sitting exposed to the South African sun, rain, heat, and cold — with no shelter, no protection, and no maintenance. On grass 📅 **The damage escalated from approximately R600,000 to over R1,300,000.** That is over R700,000 in ADDITIONAL damage — caused not by the original incident, but by how this garage stored and neglected my vehicle while it was in their possession. 📅 **Parts went missing. Including lights on the vehicle.** When the car was eventually to be returned, parts that were present when it arrived were no longer accounted for. **I had no choice but to go to the High Court of South Africa.** ⚖️ **The court ruled in my favour.** *Octavia Data Exchange (Pty) Ltd v Life Wise CC t/a Eldan Auto Body* 📋 **Case No: ***** 📋 **Citation: [2024] ZAGPPHC 956** 📅 **Judgment: 20 September 2024** — The court ordered the vehicle returned to me. Costs were awarded against Life Wise CC. 📅 **17 April 2025** — Life Wise CC app**** for Leave to Appeal. **That application was also dismissed — with costs against them again.** They lost at every level. **As of today — I am STILL fighting to get access to my own car to have it independently assessed before collection, because I need to document what this garage has done to it before it is moved.** A R2,500,000 car. Left outside. Parts missing. Damage doubled. Two court losses.
