One of the worst mistakes I’ve ever made in my life, was to have gone for a treatment with my wife at Urban Park Day Spa(El Elyon Day Spa). Long story short, I left my car keys hanging in the room where we were doing our back massages and left to go get our feet treated in a separate room..between each treatment the staff request to leave you for 15 minutes while the treatment takes effect. Well, when the wife and I were done with our treatments and were leaving, I unlock my car that happened to be parked right outside the door at the Umhlanga branch, I open the door for the wife and note that my cubby was open, the wife and I question each other about it, but make nothing of it, I drive to the first robot and open the arm rest storage to switch on my cell that I’d left in the car, and guess what?? No cellphone. I make a U-turn and express my disappointment with the staff, to the staff, who then contact their boss whom I myself take her number as well and express my anger to; she starts off by telling me that none of her staff would ***** anything from someone’s car, so I told her not to worry because the cameras inside the premises will show me exactly what happened and if anybody had taken my keys and gone to my car, whether a staff member or an outsider who might’ve snuck in somehow and grabbed it and done this(albeit unlikely because if you’re an outsider ***** and you somehow grab a hold of my car keys, I’m thinking you ***** the entire car, as opposed to a cellphone inside the car and then sneak back inside unnoticed to put the keys back, I entertained this possibility because upon my arrival I was at the front desk for 5 mins and had to call for assistance as nobody was at reception). To date, I’ve not even met this owner who said she’s sending someone to the branch to look through the camera footage with me, although an hour and a theft case being opened at the police station later, I circled back to the branch and called her again only for her to tell me that the cameras hadn’t been working on that particular day and that she was short on staff and nobody would ***** from me especially since everyone that was at work was busy with clients the entire time(although according to the staff, the cameras just don’t work and haven’t I’m a while). I’ve still never seen her, heard from her, or been checked on by her after this incident, perhaps this is the way business is conducted at Urban Park Day Spa(El Elyon Day Spa) and I’m expected to take the loss and move right on with my life..grossly disappointing, disgusting, and absolutely appalling.
