Stay Away from Eduvos! Refund Me Please!

To anyone reading this.

Before you read my review, I would like to note that after reading all other reviews posted here on Hellopeter about Eduvos, I have come to sympathize and agree with all of the statements made by other displeased students, as it is the exact same experience I have received.

I have unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience with Eduvos since the beginning where I was told that orientation would take place on Saturday 28th of January. On Thursday 26 January I received communication that orientation for honours students would take place on Friday 27th January. This is less than 24-hour notice that I had to give my employer in order to attend this day-long session. Within this session I was told, for the first time, that my class would start the following day, 28th of January, and that it would take place from 8am to 5pm. This is very short notice and unprofessional. I had not and still have not receive access to view the myLMS. I could therefore not attend class the following morning if it was not for other students assisting in sharing the link.

I feel that I have to mention that I have been pre-enrolled since last year November and my tuition was paid up in full even before I received notice of the orientation.

From the first day I cannot believe how unorganized and unprofessional this higher institution is. Some of the speakers were professional and well-spoken where others, who are actual academics (from the Midrand Campus) were swivelling in their chairs during the presentation whilst speaking very poor English. Attending class on the 28th left me hysterical and furious about the very disorganised approach to class from the lecturer's side as well as disgusting pronunciation of words. This has left me regretting my decision to join Eduvos as an Honours student. The one lecturer was comparing the services to other institutions, referring to them by name as Stadio and Boston City Campus and stating that all of them are the same as Eduvos and that this is what we can expect when students questioned the reasoning as to the way the timetable was structured the way it is. The timetable is an absolute joke, and someone needs to take a course about how to create one as it does not even have any timeslots.

From an admin point of view. I had to request all my documentation manually and without any guidance from the admin staff. Every email sent is not rep**** to timeously and I have to follow up telephonically every time I send an email to make sure that they are doing their job. I have numerous email trails where I still have not heard any response.

After following up with more than 4 people in regard to still not having access to the myLMS system and having missed an assessment as a result thereof with no actual explanation given as to why this is the case. Only after I threatened them with a refund did someone come back to me stating that this was an error caused on their side and that I should understand that they are busy sorting out some kinks and blaming Microsoft as well as their own admin staff for the issue.

I have spent so much unnecessary time and effort in accepting the poor service I have received from Eduvos. I am very displeased with the communication and the service, or lack thereof, that is provided to me. This is the fifth day of starting this course where I am still unable to view my assignments, attend classes, download documents and generally receive wat I paid for.

Even now after requesting a refund I am still doing their job for them by calling 3 times a day for an update that they simply cannot provide. This has caused unnecessary stress and anxiety that should be as simple as keeping your customer informed. Perhaps the staff should start attending courses from Stadio and Boston City Campus on how to do business.

As a person that has paid the full tuition on day one and has still not received the support and services promised. I have unfortunately lost any and all faith that I am in good hands this year and have decided that I would like to go to another institution to further my post-graduate studies.

If anyone from Eduvos is reading this, please contact me as you are withholding me from my future.

Thank you to Siegie Brownlee, the CEO of Eduvos for reaching out to me and trying to resolve the issues that I have brought up. After our meeting I full heartedly believe that my and the experience of others will be taken into account and will result in a better overall experience for other students in the years to come. I have received my refund and would like to wish Eduvos all the best.
