Dishonest and ***********

I had my Merc A200 Automatic gearbox ECU "Repaired" by ECU Express, and took it back within the (3 month warranty) period as it was still giving me "Transmission Error, Consult Workshop" error on the front panel, and was driving **********ly (Not automatically changing gears and tiptronic not working either). After leaving the car with them for 2 days to diagnose, they insisted that there was nothing wrong with the ECU. I then took it to Bosch and Merc, who both conformed that the problem was on the ECU Valve Body. When sending these results to ECUExpress, and requesting a refund for the work done, they still have not got back to me after telling me telephonically that they would not "be able" to refund. I now have to spend an additional R22K to do what these ***********s couldn't. I am not finished with ECUExpress, Next stop will be the small claims court.

I had just posted this review and received word that ECU Express will be honoring the warranty and providing me with a new, programmed control module. We'll see if this one works.

Please take note that we had since responded to your email at 16:50 (before you even made your first post) advising you of the way forward. It is unfortunate that you found the need to publicly and inaccurately tarnish ECU Express' brand whereas we were engaging you and looking into avenues of assisting you. In line with upholding to our 3 month guarantee and as advised, we are going to supply you with a replacement control module which will be progammed to your vehicle's VIN and will be ready for collection within 10 to 14 working days. Until then...

Reviewer Update
The R22K repair by the other vendor could not be reversed - I will therefore require a full refund. This is probably for the best as I have had an undriveable car since the beginning of the year, and don't want to wait another two weeks.
