My Petrol car was accidently topped up with Diesel, then could not start. Ecu was showing all sorts of sensors faults. I took the ECU for testing to ECU express Bedfordview they said the ECU unit was badly damaged and will require repair to the tune of 10K.. But a mechanic advised draining the tank and change spark plugs, I did so then car was running again with same old ECU they said was badly damaged. These are some of error they said they found: 1* No traces of foreign fluids intrusion on the PCB module. 2* PCB hardware circuits and components are damaged due internal short circuit to ground. Missing ignition voltage outputs. Abnormal circuit resistance and response. 3* Power input and outputs circuits tested faulty. Missing digital command data outputs. I conclude that the fault 2 in particular was a lie, what were they going to fix if I paid the 10K? Besides, even if I paid the 10K, the car would not start until the spark plugs were changed. I don't recommend them for testing your ECU.

I took my Ecu in for testing. They gave me a report of multiple faults. They quoted me a major price (I am a pensioner) - over 6k to repair. I paid 50% deposit. 5 days later they phoned me and told me the Ecu was repaired. I went to fetch it and asked for a report after fixing - should be tested and a report issued. They told me it's fixed and there's no report. The technician repairing my car fitted the Ecu and it did not work. He did a diagnostics and found the Ecu had the same faults that it had before repairing. I suspect that the repair technicians are not properly trained to repair ECU's. I am really disappointed that a company like Ecu Express can do such bad work. This is a very bad reflection on the company and it damages the reputability of the said company. I am returning the Ecu and want an immediate repair and a report after the repair. I am not waiting 7 days as they advertise. Very unhappy pensioner.

5 weeks ago, I drove my vehicle to work and when it was time to leave it didn't want to start. No smoke, no funny noises, no warning lights-it cranked but didn't start at all. Got some mechanics out to come have a look, they said its the ECU. To me it didn't make sense + I don't know the mechanics so I thought I'd get a second opinion. Took it to the Germiston branch, first I asked regarding a replacement unit but booked it in anyway to see what the results were. Got the report, it said 'Replace ECU'. Nothing else, no repair option - just replace. I collected it that same afternoon, purchased a new ECU, had the software loaded. Plugged it in and...same fault code??? Then we replaced the injectors, it then started but wasn't 100%. Long story short, the issue was 2 wires that was corroded, we then plugged in the original ECU and there you go!!! So, I emailed these guys from ECU express, asking if they could explain to me how they came about the results. For every 3 emails you send you might get 1 reply and even though my question was clear - they haven't given me an answer as yet... Its really ****ty coming from a company you trust and rely on as I only purchased another ECU based on their results. Now, I'm stuck with it and they don't give a ****. I'd like someone to contact me and explain how did this happen??? Let's see if they do -
