Terrible Service
I purchased a Silver Polo GTI 1.4 from EBK on 26 November 2017. Before purchasing the car, I asked Rodney (Salesperson) if this car was involved in an accident and he assured me that they don’t get involved with any accident damaged cars. I trusted his word and proceeded with the purchase. At that time, the car was due for a service, Since it’s a Sports car, I decided to take the vehicle into VW Strijdom Park for a major service, the service advisor mentioned that this car has been involved in an accident and the whole undercarriage had been replaced, I insisted on this comment being stated on the Tax Invoice as hardcore Proof. I brought this to EBK’S attention and returned the car immediately and also asked for the contract to be cancelled, after 2 - 3 weeks the contract had been cancelled after I made numerous follow ups. The list goes on…. The second day of having the car, I had a flat tyre and had to use the spare wheel, only to find out that the locknut was not in the car which left me stranded on the side of the road until I called VW Roadside assistance. My next issue is Irfaan who I’m sure he is one of “The Best Dealer Principals. ” Since I returned the car after finding out it was accident damaged, I felt that it will be fair to ask for a refund on the Major service which costed me R4 600-00. I was told telephonically by Razeena (One of the owners) that the refund will be sorted out. My telephone calls were never returned until I called Razeena again and she said that I should call Irfaan and follow up with him, I called Irfaan who then comes up with a new excuse that the car had been serviced before I collected the car. My argument to him afterwards: If the car had been serviced, why wasn’t the service book stamped? Why did the service light come on, on the dash board stating that the car is due for the next service? Which person in their right mind would service their car twice at the same service interval? He then mentioned that the car had not been serviced at a VW Dealership which is why the service book wasn’t stamped? My advice to everyone is never to purchase a car from that Dealership. They don’t know what is customer service. They would be doing their customers a favour by closing their doors down for good because it doesn’t seem to me that they are experienced enough to run a car dealership. It’s sad that customers who had purchased cars from them before, could be driving accident damaged cars that they don’t know about. I would suggest to all customers to take their vehicles into AA DEKRA for tests and lets shut this dealership down for Good as I would not want someone to experience the frustrations that I have been through.
