Misleading Sales Practices and Complete Disregard for Customer Time
I had a highly unprofessional and misleading experience with this dealership.
Prior to visiting, I contacted the branch to confirm that the vehicle was still available. My initial call was received by "Head of Finance" who then requested for Yan to give me a call. Both the salesperson and the finance manager explicitly confirmed that it was. So much so that Yan didn't only call he also sent follow up WhatsApp messages to reaffirm smooth communication. Based on this, we arrived at the branch at 12:50 as serious buyers, ready to proceed.
During our time there, we engaged in detailed discussions about the vehicle, including how long it had been on the floor—further reinforcing that it was available and being sold to us. Despite this, we were kept waiting for several hours with no indication of any competing interest. We spent time making minor repairs and adjustments to diesel leaks to the vehicle Yun even made arrangements for a valet service for this vehicle
At approximately 16:30, as we are processing paperwork and making payment with Yun a “buyer” suddenly appeared and was taken for a test drive in full view of us. That was done openly, with another sales agent visibly amused and chuckling, which only added to the unprofessional nature of the situation.
At no point during the nearly four hours we spent at the dealership where we informed that the vehicle was in the process of being sold or that another buyer existed. This is not only a clear failure in communication but raises serious concerns about the integrity of the sales process.
We were misled, our time was wasted, and we were treated with a complete lack of respect as genuine customers ready to transact.
I sent a message as formal complaint to Yun and expect a formal response from management addressing:
Why false availability was communicated Why we were not informed of competing interest Why we were made to wait for hours under false pretences The unprofessional conduct of staff observed on site
Yet what I got was a response that this humiliating and time wasting conduct came directly from the CEO
