Non cancellation of contract

I think my story is similar to everybody's, once you make the terrible mistake of taking out this easy holiday **** and try to cancel it you are given the run-around. What I don't understand is when their agents take you for these presentations you are told cancelling is the easiest thing in the world BUT then you are taken form pillar to post when you want to cancel. I signed up in July 2017 and it's not even the end of the year and I have never used their package and yet cancelling it seems harder than anything I've done ever. Next move is to seek legal advice to drop this God forsaken holiday package. :-( I suggest anybody who wants this holiday package to do some careful consideration first.
