SOLD A FAULTY CAR
On the 18th of May 2018 I purchased an Audi A3 1.8TFSI Ambition S tronic, from Eastvaal motor city witbank, the car was financed through standard bank. 4 days after I bought it (21 June 2018), the car broke down I took it back to the dealer they agreed to fix it,it was with the dealer for 3 weeks.on the 4th of December 2018,the car had the mechanical break down again, I called the sales man,he advices me to take the car the quicklane where he took it for the first break down. Then the car was diagnosed and they quated me with R44000 my warranty approved to pay only R20K and the remaining R24K, I spoke to the sales man,he said he will negotiate with the his mananger to trade in my car and give me another car, as I no longer want this car that keeps on having break downs.the mananger didn't agree with the sales man and he told me he will not help me with the trade in and fixing the car.
Complaint Update:
Our Sales Manager confirmed that they indeed sell you the car on the 18th of May 2018; and that you brought it back on the 21st of June 2018 for the water pump to be fixed, of which they did. The car was brought back in December at which time it was sent for a diagnosis and it was found that there was an auto transmission issue, you were quoted and did not accept the quotation. Unfortunately the dealership has no liability in fixing the vehicle 7 months later at 31 000 more from when it was purchased with 138 000 km on the clock. Our Sales Manager tried to assist you in trading in your vehicle but unfortunately your settlement is very high. However should you require any further assistance or communication from him please be at liberty to contact him.
Kind Regards,
Eastvaal Motors
