Not trust worthy

My rain account git handed over to them even though I hadn't made use of it over 2 years but I decided to pay the amount in full once they contacted me as I knew it would affect my credit score and all that. The lady who called assured me that after payment has been done my name will be cleared and that I would receive a clearance certificate to proof this.

I paid last year April have never received the clearance certificate and no email to address the issue. They just disappeared after I made payment, anytime I try to apply for anything I get told that I have outstanding accounts with these people.
