I decided to write this review because my experience with Eastpoint Rental Boksburg has been very different from some of the reviews I came across online before deciding to get a vehicle from them. I went to Eastpoint during the first week of August, around the 6th or 7th, looking for a reliable vehicle. I had already done my research and read reviews about the company, management and sales staff, so I honestly went there knowing what I might potentially be dealing with. That experience turned out to be completely different. I met Portia, one of the sales ladies, and she assisted us with viewing a 2025 Suzuki S-Presso. Before making any decision, we asked them to start the vehicle and we took our time inspecting it. Portia allowed us to inspect the vehicle as much as we wanted. She did not rush us, hide anything from us or discourage us from checking the car properly. That was very important to us because when you are entering into a rent-to-own agreement, you want to know exactly what you are getting. Portia then assisted me with the application. I know I probably asked her a lot of questions, but she remained patient and continued assisting me until everything was completed and handed over to Michaela, who assisted me further with the contract. Michaela assisted me over the weekend, on a Saturday, and she went through the terms and conditions of the contract with me. She explained everything properly, and I signed the agreement knowing what I was signing and what I was committing myself to. I did not feel like anything was being hidden from me. There was also a small issue with the vehicle licence disc because the disc that was on the vehicle had expired. Since it was a weekend and some staff had already knocked off, someone had to be contacted to come back to the premises and assist us so that I could leave with the vehicle legally. They managed to sort it out, and eventually I drove away with my car. So far, the vehicle has been exactly what I expected. I am also glad that I took the time to inspect the car properly before signing anything. I don't feel that Eastpoint gave me something that I should now be blaming myself for accepting. Yesterday, my first instalment went through. Today, I contacted the accounts department to confirm that the payment had reflected on their side. We had previously experienced an issue while setting up the debit order/mandate with my Discovery account, so I wanted to make sure everything was in order. Suzan assisted me with the follow-up and confirmed that everything was fine on their side. So far, I honestly cannot say that I have experienced bad attitude from the people I have dealt with. From Portia, who assisted me with finding and inspecting the vehicle, to Michaela, who explained the contract, and Suzan, who assisted me with my payment query, my experience has been positive. I hope this review reaches management because I believe employees who provide good service deserve recognition too. And to the other staff members at Eastpoint whom I may meet during my journey, I would simply like to say: We are your clients. We are willing to work with you from the beginning of our contract until the end. All we ask is that we are treated with respect, honesty and kindness along the way. I also believe that every customer deserves the opportunity to have their own experience. Negative reviews can be helpful because they highlight problems that need to be addressed, but positive experiences should also be shared when they happen. This is only the beginning of my journey with Eastpoint Rental Boksburg. I am going to keep this review updated. I will come back with another update after 6 months and continue documenting my experience throughout the rest of my rent-to-own contract. Let's see where this journey takes me. So far, Eastpoint Rental Boksburg has given me a positive experience, and I hope it stays that way until the end of my contract. Thank you to Portia, Michaela and Suzan for your assistance so far. This is my experience so far.

The worst rental company. They gave a faulty car with tempered mileage, over 100k and they took it back to 48k. Got arrested for the car because documents didn't match. Called the company from the police station and was sent from pillar to post and even had salesperson pretend to be the manager. Spoke to at least 2 people who told me they are both managers. I returned the car because the car didn't start anymore and never did they ever offer to fix but rather kept saying 'we will call you back'. Fast forward to August, they sent me a statement with an outstanding amount, I then called Melita Mashiane and in both occasions, she's been promising to call me back and days later I can her back and she still promises to call me back. What a bunch...

They dont event deserve a star,Accounts office called me say I didn't pay for over three weeks now am in arrears for over R2000. I sent them my bank statement the lady said she's too busy to check my bank statement. I went to their office to check what's going on only to find out they took payment twice in the same week.than they wanted to take other payment in the following week meaning every week I have to be billes twice in one week. I asked why they sent me like that ? The lady just said I'll fix it when I get time. People warned me about them ,they are horrible to say the list, this company should be closed permanently.

I would like to compliment the excellent service I received from the sales representative, THABO MKHABELA at East Rentals. From the very beginning, he was extremely helpful, professional, patient, and friendly. He went out of his way to assist me and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. It is rare these days to receive such outstanding customer service, and I truly appreciate the effort and dedication he showed. East Rentals is fortunate to have such a hardworking and caring employee representing the company. Thank you once again for the amazing service. Keep up the great work!

I have been a loyal client of East Point Rentals (M7 Investments) for 45 weeks, paying R2,350 weekly (over R118k total). On 4 Jan 2026, my car spontaneously caught fire while stationary—a clear product failure. Instead of assisting, M7 Investments is now: Demanding an undisclosed 20% "Insurance Portion" not found in my contract or the SHA Master Policy. Charging R75,200 in "penalties" for a fire I did not cause. Continuing to bill me weekly for a vehicle destroyed over 10 weeks ago. Refusing to refund my R12,500 deposit or provide the assessor's report. I have escalated this to the FSCA, MIOSA (***), and Parliament. Do not use this company if you value your savings.

It's so sad because a friend of mine warned me but it was too late , after I paid my deposit of 15000 and months later I lost my car because I left for home as an emergency and I came back I was told I owe 17050 and I was only told to pay it in full on the last day when they needed it.It's from that particular day I believed EAST POINT RENTALS is a ****.Not anyone I know have finished paying their vehicles and all thanks to the account clerks who don't give you a chance to atleast talk to them and arrange payment It's like all they want is for one to fail payments.Shame to those ladies at accounts actually shame to the whole company it's a ******* **** don't fall for it
